Snohomish County Fire District 1 responded to 417 calls the week of Feb. 6-12: 297 emergency medical aid calls, 36 motor vehicle collisions, 18 fires, 29 service calls, 3 gas leaks and 34 automatic fire alarms.
Feb. 6
FREEZING PIPES: Firefighters responded to six calls for burst water pipes due to freezing weather.
Feb. 7
FREEZING PIPES: Firefighters responded to 10 calls for burst water pipes due to freezing weather.
FIRE: At 12:25 p.m., firefighters responded to a brush fire that extended to the siding of a condominium building in the 3300 block of 148th Street SW north of Lynnwood. The fire was extinguished and no one was injured. Investigators determined the fire was started by a carelessly discarded cigarette.
COLLISION: At 4:03 p.m., firefighters transported one patient to Providence Regional Medical Center Everett after responding to a three-car collision on northbound I-5 north of 44th Avenue W in Lynnwood.
Feb. 8
COLLISION: At 6:37 a.m., a one-car rollover collision was reported on southbound I-5 south of 164th Street SW near Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
COLLISION: At 9:22 p.m., a car slid off the roadway and struck a telephone pole in the 16500 block of 76th Avenue W in Edmonds. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
Feb. 9
COLLISION: At 9:59 a.m., a car crashed into a guardrail and spun around on southbound I-5 north of 244th Street SW in Mountlake Terrace. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
COLLISION: At 10:00 a.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital after responding to a collision in the 13600 block of Beverly Park Road north of Lynnwood.
COLLISION: At 10:31 a.m., firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital after responding to a collision in the 14900 block of Ash Way north of Lynnwood.
Feb. 11
COLLISION: At 12:05 p.m., a collision was reported on southbound I-5 north of 196th Street SW in Lynnwood. Firefighters transported one patient to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
Feb. 12
COLLISION: At 8:31 a.m., a head-on collision was reported in the 1800 block of Filbert Road east of Lynnwood. Two patients were transported by firefighters to Swedish/Edmonds Hospital.
