Terrace-Brier Soccer Club struggling to keep going after theft

Will the summer soccer camps happen this year for the Terrace-Brier Soccer Club? So far the answer is yes.

The club is trying to figure out how to pay for its popular programs after the ex-treasurer allegedly stole $76,000. The club serves 700 kids in Lynnwood, Brier, Mountlake Terrace and Edmonds.

“The club does have insurance which may cover a portion of the theft and the former treasurer has offered to make restitution,” club President Tim Bressler said. “While this means we are struggling financially we will work thru this and the club is planning to put on summer soccer camps and fall soccer program for the kids.”

The theft was discovered when checks for the referrees  bounced. The club does not have any reserves.
