Students with life-threatening conditions should submit paperwork to schools

Edmonds School District Health Services reminds families with students who have a Life Threatening Condition (LTC) to use the summer months to get required paperwork submitted to your student’s school by Aug. 25.

Before students with an LTC can attend school, they must have a Nursing Care Plan, or if needed, health care provider orders for medication/equipment or medication and/or equipment as needed to support the health condition.

These must be delivered to your student’s school on or before Tuesday, Aug. 25 in order to guarantee your student can attend on the first day of school. The forms needed for medication or treatment orders are found on the District website.

These are legal requirements set up to protect your student’s health and safety. Please call your building School Nurse if you have questions.
