Suicide prevention training at Meadowdale Middle School April 24

The Meadowdale Middle School Parent Club is hosting a free suicide prevention training on Wednesday, April 24 from 6:30-8 p.m. in the Meadowdale Middle School Library.

Participants will learn the three steps to help prevent suicide in a session led by Wendy Burchill, Snohomish Health District, and hosted in coordination with the Edmonds School District’s Northwest quadrant school nurses.

Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of suicide and how to Question, Persuade, and Refer someone to help.

Meadowdale Middle School is located at 6500 168th St. S.W., Lynnwood.
