Next month the city will open a place for teens to hang out. Oddly enough, it will be at the Lynnwood Senior Center.
Officials say the Drop Spot teen center will be a safe, positive and supervised place for teens to hang out and make new friends. Activities will include video games, board games, computer lab, homework help, movies, arts and crafts, cooking, snacks, DIY projects, workshops, service learning and leadership development.
The Drop Spot will be free for middle and high school-age teens. Grand opening is set for Sept. 19.
It’s located at the senior center (19000 44th Avenue W.) It will be open Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3 – 6 p.m. Teens must show a current school ID for admission.
