Join author Kendare Blake (author of Anna Dressed in Blood, Girl of Nightmares, and the upcoming Antigoddess) for a teen creative writing workshop where you’ll play with insider tricks like: Mining your life, your weird friends, and your strange pets for story ideas and character traits.
Create hero, heroine and villain profiles (possibly still mined from your weird friends and strange pets). And get to the action while the getting is good. Is it an explosion? A mortifyingly embarrassing and humorous event? Or a murder?
The workshop is scheduled for 4 p,m, July 23 at the Lynnwood Library. Participants are welcome to bring a piece of their own writing, but feel free to come empty-handed. The workshop is supported by the Friends of the Lynnwood Library.
