Have a question? Text a librarian.

Lynnwood Library

Sno-Isle Libraries are testing out a new service starting today that allows people to ask librarians a question via text message.

The library system says you can ask simple, quick questions (up to 160 characters) that can be answered in brief responses (up to 320 characters). Their examples are “what is the highest mountain in the world?” and “what time does the Cheney library close tonight?”.

To use Text a Librarian, start your message with the keyword silinfo, insert a space, type your question and send it to 66746.

The service is available weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. The trial period will last through Sept. 30, 2010.
