This weekend’s scheduled grand opening of a new indoor flea market in Lynnwood has been delayed by a few weeks.
City Marketplace is now set to open at 172nd Street SW and Highway 99 (in the former Cycle Barn building next to Value Village) on Saturday, May 1.
Owners say the city of Lynnwood is requiring a business license for all vendors, so City Marketplace wants to make sure each vendor has one when the doors open.
“We postponed due to the processing of licenses. We want to have a good showing that weekend. We actually have had people pay upwards of $600 for food permit and license to sell out of there. It’s going to be great, but going to take a little more time. Vendor spacing is filling up fast,” Kim Boltz told us.
Each business license is valid through the end of the calendar year.
