Trinity Lutheran Church wraps up 19th season of Artists at the Organ on May 4

Trinity Lutheran Church’s “Artists at the Organ” recital series concludes its 19th season with a concert by Mark Brombaugh, Co-Director of Music Ministries at Tacoma’s Christ Episcopal Church, at 7 p.m., May 4.

Brombaugh, who shares the co-director position with his wife, the Rev. Kathryn Nichols, has performed as an organist and harpsichordist throughout the United States. He will perform music of Melchior Schildt, J. S Bach, Louis Vierne, Percy Whitlock, David Dahl and a new work by John Eggert.

Trinity Lutheran Church’s organ, opus 4, is a 2 manual, 30 stop mechanical action instrument, noted for its glorious sound. It is housed in an Italianate style case of black walnut, in a fine acoustical environment. Every part of the instrument was built by Martin Pasi especially for this space and was installed in 1995.
