The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is seeking two men in connection with the attack and robbery of a taxi cab driver last week.
Our news partner, the Seattle Times, reports that around midnight last Tuesday, the driver was beaten by the two men and robbed of cash and credit cards near the 16600 block of Sixth Avenue West near Lynnwood, the sheriff’s office said. The two men then forced the cab driver, a 51 year-old man, to walk with them to a convenience store in the 200 block of 164th Street Southwest.
After unsuccessfully trying to force the cabbie to withdraw cash from an ATM, the two men fled. Detectives believe that one of the suspects is Eric T. Johnson, 27, who is known to frequent South Everett, Lynnwood and North Seattle, especially public transportation facilities and homeless shelters, the sheriff’s office said.
