Two people suffered serious injuries when their car struck a power pole early this morning.
A Toyota was traveling eastbound on 204th Street SW near Cypress Way about 2 a.m. when it went through a stop sign, crossed the intersection and slammed into a power pole.
The 28-year-old female driver and the 32-year-old male passenger were both trapped inside. They were extricated and taken to Harborview with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
A crew from PUD was called out to handle the downed power lines.
Snohomish County Sheriff’s investigators have not ruled out speed or alcohol as factors.
