The city hosts a Summer Open House at Heritage Park on Saturday, July 6.

Visitors are invited to experience life in early Alderwood Manor. The park’s historic buildings and Interurban Car No. 55 will be open for tours. Trolley tours will be scheduled every hour. The new Wickers Museum offers a glimpse into the life of the family that once lived above the old store in the 1930s with recreated historic rooms, vintage furnishings and artifacts.

Come any time between 11 a.m. and 3:p.m. No reservations are necessary.

Heritage Park is located at 19921 Poplar Way in Lynnwood. For more information, please call 425-670-5502, or visit  www.PlayLynnwood.com.

The Summer Open Houses, which also are held the first Saturday in August and September, are also hosted by the city’s partners, the Alderwood Manor Heritage Association, Sno-Isle Genealogy Society, Snohomish County Tourism Bureau, and the Car 55 Restoration Committee.

  1. The volunteers that are involved with these historical buildings and Heritage Park are true gems! This park has a lot to offer our local residents as well as visitors just passing through. Bring your family, enjoy a picnic and show your kids or grand kids what life was like before the “tech” age. A “5 star” Alderwood Manor kind of day!
