Update: homicide victim identified

The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the identity and completed its examination of the death of a 52-year-old man near Lynnwood on March 31.

The victim has been identified as Dean. E. Urness of Edmonds. The cause of death is attributed to a compressed air rifle BB gun wound of the chest.The death has been ruled a homicide.

A man and woman were arrested in connection with the death, which occurred in the 19500 block of Damson Road in Lynnwood. The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded to the incident.

The investigation led to an arrest of a 32-year-old male for second-degree domestic violence assault and the arrest of a 32-year-old female for second-degree murder. Both subjects were booked into the Snohomish County Jail.
