Everett Police Detectives have said that the 14 year-old pedestrian struck by a vehicle after a collision near the intersection of 112th St SE and 7th Ave SE has died.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office will take custody of the body to determine identification as well as cause and manner of death.
Detectives will continue investigating the collision and ensuing pedestrian death. Criminal charges, if any, will be forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office for review and a charging decision.
When Everett Police officers found that a 14-year-old Everett girl walking on the sidewalk had been struck. The girl was immediately transported to Harborview Medical Center.
Community Information Officer Aaron Snell said in a press release that It is believed that a Chevy Suburban, driven by a 16-year-old Lynnwood male, was turning left from eastbound 112th St. SE onto 7th Ave. SE when there was a collision with a westbound Toyota Camry. The Camry, driven by a 48-year-old Everett woman, continued but veered onto the sidewalk where the girl was walking. The Camry travelled forward and struck a business before coming to rest upside down. The woman has been taken to Providence Medical Center for a medical evaluation.
