Heavy rain soaked most of western Washington today and Lynnwood was no exception. About a half-inch had fallen as of 3 p.m. and even more is expected tonight.
Some city streets had standing water as a result, including the corner of 44th Avenue West & 196th Street SW.
It’s a good reminder to clear leaves from your storm drains so your street doesn’t get flooded. Rain is in the forecast until Sunday.
