Police arrest US Bank robbery suspect

Lynnwood police have arrested  the man suspected of robbing the US Bank in James Village last weekend.

The 18-year-old Lynnwood man was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on a charge of first degree robbery. The suspect’s father, a 41-year-old Lynnwood man, was also arrested on outstanding warrants.

Friday afternoon, Edmonds police found a vehicle at an Edmonds motel on Highway 99 that fit the description of the vehicle involved in the bank robbery. They notified Lynnwood detectives, who joined them and arrested the pair without incident.

Detectives worked throughout the night serving search warrants and gathering evidence.

Police say this bank robbery doesn’t appear to be connected to any other recent robberies in the area, but they continue to investigate.

  1. I hope that Friday was not one of the days where the Department could only muster 3 officers for day shift.  If plural of them went to help Edmonds then that would only leave one policeman to protect us from rampaging bears.  I can only surmise that taxes must be raised immediately and more police must be hired.  I hope we can get all this done before the new American Girl opens, I’m not sure that at current staffing levels the department is in the position to handle the crowd control.  I bet we could get the Brier cops to come over and help out if things get out of hand.
