Lynnwood Today is proud to welcome as a new sponsor the 28th Edmonds Waterfront Festival, hosted by the Rotary Club of Edmonds. Festivities run at the Port of Edmonds Marina May 29-31, 2015.
The annual festival is a major fundraiser, with proceeds supporting Rotary programs and services. Among programs that benefit include college scholarships for local youth, support for YWCA transitional housing for women and their children, YMCA Partners with Youth, Boy Scouts, literacy, housing and water projects in Africa, Asia and Latin America and Rotary First Harvest service to local food banks.

This year, the festival will feature a 5K run in addition to live entertainment, food booths and waterfront activities for both kids and adults. The run on Saturday, May 30 starts and ends at the Edmonds Civic Playfield, 300 6th Ave. N., at 8:30 a.m., followed by a Kids Dash at 9:30 a.m. Registration is $25 for the run (with T-shirt) and $10 for the Kids Dash (no T-shirt). Late registration fees are $35 for the run and $15 for the Kids Dash.
All run proceeds will benefit the Edmonds School District’s Nourishing Network, a weekend meal program for the District’s homeless and low-income families.
