A woman was seriously injured Thursday afternoon after she stepped into Highway 99 north of Lynnwood.
Our news partner, the Seattle Times, reports that witnesses told a Washington State Patrol trooper that the woman had been standing on a median strip when she stepped into the roadway near Lincoln Way shortly before 5 p.m.
A southbound car hit the woman, and she was dragged underneath the vehicle, Trooper Mark Francis said. She was taken to a hospital. Information was not available about her condition.
