Snohomish County Councilmember Stephanie Wright officially launched her re-election campaign Monday night at the Edmonds Senior Center.
Wright had served on the Lynnwood City Council before being appointed to the county post last August.
“I’ve lived here in Snohomish County my entire life and it’s a place I treasure very much,” she said in a speech. “Some of you are elected officials that have worked with me on specific issues and others of you are everyday citizens that have done extraordinary things for our communities in your own right.”
Wright has been endorsed by Sheriff John Lovick, Lynnwood City Council President Mark Smith, Congressmen Jay Inslee and Rick Larsen, and County Executive Aaron Reardon, among others.
She’s being challenged by PUD Commissioner Kathy Vaughn.
This is utterly ridiculous! For years our citizens have been plagued by extremely loud vehicles & certain motorcycles who feel it is THEIR right to ignore the laws regarding the noise they create. It is only getting worse! Law enforcement has turned a blind ‘ear’ & have left these people do whatever they want. Now people are complaining about ROOSTERS!
