YWCA needs donations of personal hygiene items for upcoming Project Homeless Connect event

my newsAs part of Project Homeless Connect, the YWCA Seattle | King | Snohomish is giving away 1,000 backpacks filled with essential items and needs donations of the following items:

  • Gently used backpacks
  • Small tube toothpaste
  • Tooth brush
  • Wash cloth
  • Razor (disposable)
  • Bar of soap (full size if possible)
  • Shampoo (travel size)
  • Conditioner (travel size)
  • Body lotion (travel size)

 

Donation drop-offs will be accepted at Pathways for Women YWCA in Lynnwood (6027 208th St. S.W.) or the Everett Regional Center YWCA (3301 Broadway) through July 7.

Project Homeless Connect is an annual, one-day event that brings together, in a single location, a wide variety of community volunteers and services for homeless people. Direct services are provided on site to help combat homelessness and related issues.

This year’s Snohomish County event on July 10 will connect people experiencing homelessness with immediate access to free resources.These include access to state and federal benefits, veterans’ services, medical and dental appointments, pet care, mental health support, haircuts, a hot meal and housing information.
